About Andrea
Hi, I’m Andrea! ☻
My path to solo travel started in university when I studied abroad in Taiwan in 2019. I used to wait on people to go with me to explore a new place or restaurant, but after a transformative summer abroad (cheesy, I know), I stopped waiting for people to accompany me. Life is too short to wait, so I began exploring the world with myself.
I find travel planning incredibly fun and I do it all the time as a hobby for my trips. From the moment you pick a destination to the food you’re going to eat, the anticipation and excitement is priceless. I love that feeling! The process of planning trips comes easy to me, but I know it can be a pain for others. Besides being an easy way for me to help friends out when they plan trips, it’s a great way to share my experience with others. So that you can also know how to plan and have amazing life experiences, too!
What you need to know:
I am:
- 24
- Asian-American
- Born and raised in California
I love:
- Eating good food
- Traveling (obviously)
- Taking pictures
- Admiring architecture
- Connecting with people

My travel style:
- Slow travel: spending at least a month in different cities, seeing what it would be like to live as a local.
- …but being a tourist is also fun!
- Suitcase-er: the backpack/hostel life is not for me; I prefer private accommodations with a local and will sometimes do the occasional resort or hotel, depending on where I go.
This is my corner of the internet to share my experiences traveling, and I hope that it helps you in your travels! Here you’ll find:
